Dr. Albert Lopez was born in Cuba. He grew up on the family farm where he developed a great love and respect for all animals. Albert excelled in school especially in the area of science, and as a result decided to combine his love for animals and science and become a veterinarian. He graduated with honors as Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Camaguey, Cuba in 1995.

He diligently worked at the Agriculture Department headquarters managing mixed animal practices for the next four years, gaining much experience in Small Animal ,business administration and developing his clinical diagnostic skills. In 1999 Dr. Lopez moved to Spain searching for new opportunities and freedom. He worked in Madrid for several years at a Large Animal ER 24 hrs center where he developed a passion and special interest in Small Animal and emergency medicine.

Dr. Lopez moved to the United States in 2001 to continue his veterinary career after expending the last ten years in central florida,his passion for the water and his cuban roots brought him to Naples Florida what he claims as home.

He enjoys travel,outdoor adventures and is a nature enthusiast. He looks forward to family time with his wife Judy, son Andres and Rocky “The Cuban”their dachshund.

He is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Cuban Veterinary Medical Association in Exile.
